A Liberal European Leadership after 2019

Högberga gård, Lidingö, Stockholm 18-19 April 2018
ABOUT THE EVENT
We believe that the European Parliament elections in 2019 will be an election about values. Liberalism will be challenged by populists and nationalists from both left and right. Consequently, we will have to prepare ourselves thoroughly in order to safeguard liberal values across Europe.
The aim of this event is to equip politicians and staff members from liberal parties across Europe with concrete arguments and strategies on how to counter populistic and nationalistic tendencies. Moreover, we want to build a strong network of liberals who can get advice from and encourage one another in preparation of the election campaign, as well as foster closer ties between liberal parties.
We will welcome in total 60 participants from 18 liberal parties to the beautiful island of Lidingö, just outside Stockholm, where we will spend two days together. This will be a training and capacity building event, which means that it will be hands-on, highly interactive and requires active contribution, as we believe that every participant has plenty of experience and knowledge that should be shared. The focus will be on seminars, workshops and teambuilding.
The target groups for this event are two: 1) those interested in running as a Member of European Parliament candidate in 2019, 2) those who will work as campaign managers locally, regionally, or nationally during the 2019 European elections.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Stockholm in April! Together we can form a strong liberal European leadership after 2019.
Please fill in the registration here before the 11th of March. Once you have registered, we will contact you in order to make the travel arrangements. Please don't book flights on your own.
If you are a member of the Centre Party organisation, please fill in the application here.
